'Harold and Kumar' Star Kal Penn Robbed at Gunpoint

Kal PennActor Kal Penn was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday while walking in Washington, D.C., TMZ reports. Penn, who is best known for his role in 'Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle,' was walking at around 1:20AM when a man with a gun approached him.

Penn told police that the man took his wallet and other personal property. Penn was unharmed, and police have launched a full investigation.

Penn, whose real name is Kalpen Suresh Modi, has been working in D.C. as an associate director in the White House Office of Public Engagement. His focus was on connecting President Barack Obama with the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Penn was also an advocate for Obama's presidential campaign.

FOX handled Penn's decision to work for President Obama by killing his character on 'House.'

In April 2010, it was confirmed Penn would leave his post in D.C. to return to his acting career.

Penn has starred in several films, including 'Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle,' its sequel 'Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay' and 'Van Wilder.

Seems to me, the OP was a story of wealth redistribution, and pretty much the same way the folks in D.C. are used to doing it to the citizenry. What's news here?
