  • Disabled Woman Tortured for 33 Hours, Then Murdered by 'Friends'

Six people, including one minor, have been charged with holding Jennifer Daugherty, a mentally challenged 30-year-old, against her will for up to 33 hours inside a Pittsburgh-area apartment last week, where they reportedly tortured her and stabbed her to death. They then allegedly put her body in a trash can, carried it to a nearby middle school, and left it in the parking lot.

According to the criminal complaint, the 30-year-old Daugherty suffered multiple stab wounds and was bound with Christmas decorations and clothing.

Investigators say Daugherty was struck with a towel rack, vacuum cleaner hose, and a crutch and stabbed in the chest, side, and neck. Daugherty's hair was shaved, her face painted with nail polish, and she was made to eat or drink vegetable oil, spices, detergent, urine, and medications.

Police also said Daugherty was forced to write out a contrived suicide note that was dictated to her.

Daugherty's sister said the woman knew some of the suspects and considered them to be her friends.

    Various news stories here.

Sad. I feel horrible for these, the true victims of crime. May the "friends" never be free to harm again.

Some of us that are politically incorrect long for the good ol' days when these "friends" would be mysteriously lost on their way to jail, never to be seen of again.

I just don't even know what to say to this, other than I wish our justice system was more of "an eye for an eye" system.

Sick sick animals humans can be.

I have less regard for these animals than I would, a rabid raccoon.
Sure, that badge will get you midgets, but those midgets will get that badge!

According to the paper, the 17 year old was a victim of a crime. Her mom tried to sell her when she was 4, soooooooooooooooooooo, I guess she can't be held responsible for what she did because of what happened to her when she was 4??????

The District Attorney hasn't decided whether or not he'll be seeking the death penalty.

They are looking at charging this as a hate crime.

Typical of today's society, I am not responsible because of my past, medication, bla bla bla. Own up.

Like my friend Willy Nelson sings "Take all of them bad boys and hang 'em high in the street. For all the people to see"

I don't know if it really matters if one of these people had something in their past that caused them to do this. For people who did something like this, I think there is an extremely high probability they would do it again.
Many a bad dog had something wrong with its upbringing and training, but if it mauls someone you put it down because it's likely to do it again.

I would just like to say that if I ever do something dumb like murder somebody, that I was once told "No!" by my parents. I'm just saying...

Even the terrorist that nailed the World Trade Center didn't do anything like this. They flew planes into a building hoping to kill a lot of people and succeeded and look what resulted. But let these animals do that torture and humiliation and I don't know what else to call it to another human being and they are LOOKING at?

If any of them should happen to trip over an unseen, imaginary, deceased turtle and crack their skulls wide open on the way to court and die, I wouldn't lose one wink of sleep over it.
Yes that would be just awful... awful indeed.
