Yes. Take the time on your wedding day to remember it. The day flew by so fast for me, it was like a whirlwind. I was shoved here and there to talk to this person and that..that's all well and nice and polite, but savor every minute and do what YOU want to do on your big day!
Congratulations! I feel old now! This June will be my 11th anniversary."It is easier for a king to have a lie believed than a beggar to spread the truth."---Robert Strecker

GodSide,
Congratulations!
may god grant you and your new wife only happiness and success in your new life together.
I myself have recently gotten married, (1 year 5 months) the best advice i can give,
Never yell at each other, you wont acomplish anything.
Always be willing to compromise.
make sure to spend as much time with your family as possible. Your wife is now the most important person in the world.
oh yea and one more thing no matter how right you are you are always wrong!!! :-)))) jk

I have been married for a year and a half now. In my limited time, the best advice I can give you is that when everybody says the first year is the hardest, THEY AREN'T KIDDING.
Around the 18 month mark, I looked over at my wife and said, "You know, the last six months have been so much easier, I wonder why?" It was funny when we realized the timing.
You might not realize it- we didn't- because you're caught up in marriage and love and all that stuff. So all of a sudden you'll look back, and be like, "Wow, being married is easier now...awesome!"
Congrats man, and ditto to the advice above- enjoy the day itself! Also, don't do what I did and get a ticket for going 70 in a 45 on the way to the wedding.I am disrespectful to dirt. Can you see that I am serious? - Mr. Sparkle

May 29th will mark 5 years with my wife. I am by no means an expert in marriage. My advice is to wait until after the first year to have children. I wish we would have waited. I wouldn't trade my kids for the world, but it would have been easier on the relationship.
Advice for the wedding day. Enjoy it. It will fly by.
Don't carry a Kirby vacuum down a curved staircase on your wedding day. I know someone really well that slipped and sprained his ankle. His bride wasn't impressed, however, not suprised. I won't give away the name of the guy that limped down the isle. Kind of a witness protection program type thing.Drug Recognition Expert

Congratulations to you!! I wish you all the happiness in the world.
I'm not expert on marriage by any means but I'll give you a few good tips.
1. Communicate!!! This is the single most important thing, in my opinion. If something is bothering you, don't let it fester. Sit down with your wife and discuss things calmly and rationally as soon as they start bothering you.
2. Understand that women are different from men and can be quite hormonal at times. When she's having PMS, just keep your mouth closed and do as she says. LOL
3. Don't forget to validate her. Let her know she's important to you, beautiful to you, yada, yada, yada. These things are verrrrrrrry important to a woman and lifting her up emotionally will more than likely get you lots of sex. LOL
4. If she's going to be working too, pitch in all you can with the housework. Chances are, she won't like the way you do it and resume the chores herself, but she'll appreciate your attempts at helping her.
5. Don't hide things from her. No matter how savvy you think you are, a woman's intuition is astounding and eventually you will be found out. It's best to just be upfront about all things, no matter how large or small. Once you've lost your trust and credibility, it'll take a long time to regain it. Women have incredible memories.
