          I blew my chance and didn’t pass Phase II. Had I though, rookie Special Agents get $20k less than rookie beat cops in my area. Also. Retirement is forced a 57, and is 1.7% a year times years of service. Less years, lower base, but they get social security.

          It’s been a fascinating endeavor applying to various agencies and jurisdictions. While some may be more prestigious than others, the fact is they all have their own little piece of the pie in terms of laws they oversee.

          All are staffed by individuals with the same human imperfections.
