  • Suspect shot and killed after gun jams, ammo falls out

Pity the type of gun he carried will never make the news, LOL.
ST. LOUIS (AP) — A suspect is dead after being shot by a St. Louis police officer.
Officers were on special duty patrol Monday night after a rash of robberies and attempted robberies in an area of south St. Louis when they saw two men in an alley and approached them for questioning.

One of the men took off running, then reached for a gun and tried to shoot, but the gun jammed. Police say as the man tried to get the gun to fire, bullets fell out.

One of the officers fired several shots at the suspect, who was struck in the abdomen.

He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

That's sad. That guy deserved to die though, He would had killed that officer and caught him off guard if that gun didn't jam. It's sad to see this situation even occur though, but it's either him or the officer and I'm sure most of you would take the officer any day.

It is situations like these that can change an officers style of making contact and not to take a situation easy... at all

              How is this "sad"?

That POS had every intention of killing a cop that day, but thankfully due to a mechanical failure (or divine intervention), his gun crapped out, allowing the officers to return some lead.

Glad it turned out OK for the officers... someone was definitely looking out for them that day. Congrats on also reducing this dirtbag's chance of being a repeat offender to exactly zero.

I wonder if the bullets fell on grass, concrete, or asphalt.

Reading the title at first I thought the Officer's gun had jammed

Did bullets fall out or did cartridges fall out?

Hi-points usually work. I suspect the hoodlum got da 9mm bullets in da 40cal gun so when he chambered a round it fell right on out da barrel.

Thats why you don't buy fenced guns on the street. I am glad however that this POS bought or stole a crappy gun.

Doubt that....the standard around here is they get the gun with whatever ammo was loaded in it when it was stolen. When it stops going bang dispose. Common to recover the handguns with one or two rounds in the mag, or a revolver with half the cylinder spent.
