    I still consider car accidents to be a much greater threat. Except for the car accidents they cause, nearly everyone who dies from a drug overdose is the person who is responsible for the death. A lot of innocent people die in car accidents.

        Yes and no, some of the deaths from overdoses of legally perscribed drugs may be due to errors on the part of the person, IE the perscribed dose interacts with something else and that causes it to be an overdose.

        When my ma had terminal cancer they put her on fentanyl patches, I read up on them and found that there have been some OD's from them because something caused a different than intended absorption rate of the drug in them.
