  • Mall Cops

I don't know if it was a repeat but Mall Cops was on last night.
While they have pride in their work, ( as anyone should) I think it's going overboard a bit. Kicking out a manager for not having mall id when it is obvious he works there. Make him get one now, don't screw with the man's livelihood. had that been me I would not have left. I would have gone back in. I gotta work.
Dealing with 2000+ screaming kids for a flash in the pan pop star is interesting too. I mean the show was okay but when putting a band aid on a scraped knee is entertainment.....

It is the bestest show ever. Hollywood is dreamy.
Being a good street cop is like coming to work in a wet suit and peeing in your pants. It's a nice warm feeling, but you're the only one who knows anything has happened.

They have arresting powers? I saw last night a mall cop told demi moore he had arresting powers... Is it a type of peace officer position?

I also love how the the Mom of the two girls got rewarded for acting like a huge B**ch and got their wristbands. I watched because nothing else was on but I wont watch it again.

                Yeah... ridiculous.

The best part was when they went to a trouble breathing call and the patient walks out, clearly not in distress. At the end, the mall cop says, "we saved that guys life..." lmao.

Or, the girl that used to be fat talks about how she wanted to be in law enforcement since she was little. lol.

Or, when famous singer girl asks her escort mall cop where his gun and taser are.

I got a kick out of all the award ribbons some had on their uniforms. What can you get working security at the mall? "The Distinguished Food Court Combat Ribbon," "The 100+ Vehicle Lockout Ribbon," "Lost Vehicle Locater Citation?"

I wondered the same thing because some of them had at least 15 of them.

Yeah that show is definitely funny as hell. Brings back memories though. Back in the days I used to work mall security, but we never had those citations on our uniforms like they do LOL. What the heck are those for? We also never took our job as serious as these guys do. The two months of "rigorous training" part was hilarious. They even have them attack the "RedMan." Then that one security guard says "we are not guards, we are not guarding anything, we are protecting and serving. LOL Yeah thats why when you get your state license to be able to work private security the card is called "Guard Card." nonetheless it was funny.

Mall Cop. Really a contradiction in terms. Yeah, the show/movie are fairly entertaining, but they're also fictional. The "major" mall here locally has security. They are private citizens, unarmed, with no arrest powers.
