  • Trooper Training in Alaska- 2 Minute Video

Thought that this was interesting. The Instructors makes some valid points; in my humble opinion.

Is the video of a spider the one you wanted to show?

Live rounds during surprise training never sounds like a good idea imho.
Seriously, the only reason I wanted to be a cop was so I could post anywhere on this forum.

Someone's gonna get hurt one day. I wouldn't like the prospect of backup being potentially hours away either. It certainly looks like a very different job in regards to law enforcement.

Very intense training. Not sure I would be wanting to go toe toe like the trooper did with the training officer with live rounds in my weapon. I agree with FireManMike. That's an accident waiting to happen sometime in the future.

Well they sure as hell won't be using blanks in the field for the "on the job" training, more power to them...

I could never do that. Back up days away, taking a plane everywhere, and fricken balls cold weather. More power to those who do that job.

And here I've complained of back up being 15-30 minutes away. God Bless those guys, it ain't the back up I'd be worried about...it's the frickin mind numbing cold!
