Ok heres a question though, since we have the right to face our accuser in the court of law. How does someone do that when they are caught by a camera?

Knew that was coming. Good legal question.

Not so much in this case (due to the monkey mask), but in the more usual cases all of our photo cites (red light camera only.....photo radar is illegal in CA) are reviewed by a sworn officer/deputy, who then signs the citations.....he/she will also be the one to testify to the offense in court.

So they finally caught the monkey man. That's crazy stuff.

Oh wrong link, this is how they caught him.
          http://www.azcentral.com/news/articl...onkey0908.html

In this case, officers sat outside Vontesmar's home and watched him drive to work. "We watched him four different times put the monkey mask on and put the giraffe-style mask on," Officer Dave Porter said. "Based on surveillance, we were positive that Vontesmar was the driver."

probably because the red light tickets are considered a criminal offense here in CA......same as if they busted a light right in front of me and I decided to scratch a cite.

personally, I feel that all of the camera violations are bogus and should be tossed.....they are revenue generators, plain and simple.......

At least one state supreme court (Minnesota) has ruled against a city (Minneapolis) regarding the legallity of the cameras, and how they where being used.
