A 30-year-old Pennsylvania woman was arrested after she allegedly instructed her 6-year-old daughter to drive a car, according to police.
Police noticed a young driver operating a white Dodge Durango station wagon, according to court records. During a traffic stop of the vehicle, police observed a 6-year-old female was operating the vehicle while her mother was "sitting in the passenger seat laughing about the incident and stating she was teaching her to drive," records say.
The 6-year-old girl then became upset and began to cry. The girl's aunt arrived while police were conducting the traffic stop.
The aunt reportedly asked the young girl if her mother made her drive the vehicle. The girl replied, "Mom made me drive because she was sleepy," records say.
The aunt then asked the girl: "Was your mom smoking that stinky stuff again?" records say. The girl then allegedly replied "yes" with tears in her eyes.
