  • Good Movies

I saw some very good movies this weekend.. thought I'd share.

Simone - Stars Al Pacino at the top of his game. The movie was a little predictable towards the end but had very funny parts. All in all, I'd wait for video on this one.

The Good Girl - Excellent movie! I was really surprised at Aniston's acting ability because the only roles I have seen her in is in Friends or similiar roles in movies. I think this movie has a lot of elements that many people can relate to.. the feeling of boredom, of being trapped, of not knowing where your future is headed. And of course, it also was hilarious in parts. I recommend this one to anyone.

Road to Perdition - I've always thought that Tom Hanks has never made a bad movie and he reaffirmed that thought in this movie. This movie delves into the relationship between a boy and his father and also incorporates plenty of drama and action to keep guys from falling asleep also. Great storyline and wonderful acting by all.

I think it was a movie kinda weekend.
We saw My Big Fat Greek Wedding which was hysterical! It was a laugh out loud movie that had you leaving with a smile on your face.

We also saw XXX with Vin Diesel. It had great stunts and lots of action.Granted the stunts were great and crazy but in the 'real world' they would never fly. Still...good entertainment value.

We lucked out...2 for 2. It was a good movie weekend. Two thumbs up.

I saw Road to Perdition a couple of weeks ago, and I rate in there as one of my all time favorites.

And a little side note, Tom Hanks's mobster character was named Mike Sullivan!

How 'bout I make you an offer you can't refuse?

But then if you're a cop and Polish, I'll make you an offer you can't understand!

I rented SUPERTROOPERS (was funny as hell!), and A Beautiful Mind recently. Beautiful mind was much better than I expected. Nice twist. But Supertroopers was soo funny!

I saw Boon Dock Saints a couple weeks ago. It isn't out everywhere, but if you can find it, it's a great movie.

I finally got around to renting 'Behind Enemy Lines'. It's good enough to add to my collection.

I went to see "City by the Sea" I thought it was outstanding. Supposed to be based on a true story but I don't know how closely.
