I'm sickened by what I just read. Riv, I echo your sentiment. I'm am so glad I live in the USA.

It's difficult to fully grasp the cultural, social, and political forces that motivate the actions of many foreign nations and their people. I wonder how much of the official government response to this crime is designed to mollify western sensibilities. It's my suspicion that the death sentence will be quietly retracted at some later date and that the offenders will soon be back in the business of imposing local "justice".

Pakistan is ostensibly our ally in our war against terrorism. They are also one of the world's nuclear powers. When we choose to see them as acting responsibly in either role, we like to assure ourselves that they are people just like us.

Some things just make it hard to believe.

WOW... I cant beleive the culture of other coutries. I think I have said this before. I am so glad I live in the USA.

I don't beleive that thier government would condone such and act, and thankfully the *&*&%^*& will get a sever punishment.
