Baseball strike?

Who are the biggest cry babbies the owners or players?

If they do, it sure would suck to be part of the support staff. Grounds Keepers, beer man, stadium workers and such. I wouldn't want to work in the team office with all the calls from pi**ed off season ticket holders.

I was actually hoping that they would strike. Now people are going to be all happy and greatful that they didn't Nevermind all the crap they stirred up by doing this in the middle of the season. If any of them, especially the players union, cared anything about baseball they would do this sh$t in the off season.

But since they are all intent on calling baseball a $3.5 billion dollar business I think that we should too. There needs to be a nationwide class action lawsuit against MLB and the players union. yeaaaaa... Claim a couple billion in emotional damages, then see how bad they all cry about not making enough money... hehehe. I say that in jest but I know that there are some ambulance chasing lawyers out there who would do it.

I'm with Desert Rat. I like that newspaper in TX that wouldn't print anything related to MLB (scoreboards etc) until they came to an agreement. 82% of readers of that paper agreed with the idea of a boycott in the paper.

You know what, I can't believe as much as they get paid to play a GAME that they are bitchin'. Pay me a million and see if I complain. If I were owner of one of those teams, I would fire the whole dang team and pull from the farm league or whatever they call the "B" team. I am sure they would play in a heartbeat. Ahh, to he11 with baseball, it's FOOTBALL season!!!!!!!

Well, they settled & will play ball but it doesn't matter to me, I'm not that big on baseball. Besides, I swore during the last strike that I wouldn't go back to another ball park. I watch an inning or two flipping the channels but it's no big deal to me who wins. I do like that idea about a fan strike though.

I was hoping they'd strike, the fans would revolt, and Major League Baseball would go bankrupt, the stadiums would be torn down, and the players would get real jobs. The same can happen for the NFL and NBA as well. Of course, most of their players will be in prison soon enough anyway, so that part is moot.

The fans were pretty angry for quite awhile after the last one. Its hard for people to accept the purpose of a strike when you are making millions.

Its like a teacher strike over here. They don't get much public support because the public just can't get past the fact they have summers and all holidays off.

If I lived in the state of Florida I wouldn't like baseball either. Rays, Marlins = minor league ball.

Funny guy......... try Red Sox, Rangers and Twins while you're still shoveling snow out off your sidewalk And those are just the home teams.

Besides, I stopped watching baseball when I lived near Pittsburgh, after the first strike.
