I'm a gardener and vegetable grower, I also grow; carrots, radishes, Romaine (iceberg has no nutritional value, yuck!)lettuce and watermelon.

    And alot of flowers!

What varieties do you like to grow? and any vegetable growing tips!???

Like what do you add to your soil to get BIG JUICY TOMATOES?

Well, I don't garden and apparently not very knowledgable about it at all...

Here I was thinking butter came from cows, and eggs came from chickens, and here is Mike growing them in his garden!

Education is nothing without experience to back it up.

Every season, I'm growing tomatos, corn, peppers and gourds.

I grow a good supply of tobacco every spring.

And, not for eating but I have also a nice garden of 7 Bonsai trees. The oldest is not less than 50 years old, a Japanese Black Pine.

Since we have moved up here, we don't have a garden. If the deer didn't get it, the rabbits would. Or the million other lil' beasts!

However when we DID have one, tomatoes, spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, summer squash, tomatoes, onions, tomatoes, peppers of various kinds and tomatoes.

Did I mention tomatoes? NOTHING in this world is as good as a BLT with home grown "T"!

Oh, Royce, how can you do this to me!!! After some participation in and checking out the socialism/Britney thread, I see your title with high hopes! But, alas, it's not about THOSE tomatoes .

I tried to do some little, bright red, really hot peppers once. The plant grew great with Peter's.

I also tried roses and they did the best with neglect. Every time I did so much as weed them, they started dying or didn't bloom. I can't remember the variety, but my favorite of the bushes was a yellow rose that was softball size. It was evidentally grafted with a pink one because one would grow with the yellow and on occassion I would get a yellow tipped in pink.

Oh, man, I gotta go to firearms now and talk about something manly! I feel like such a chick now...

FLLAWDOg you sure you you used Peters and not Miracle Brow since you all hot and botthered about THOSE tomatoes. Frank I like your mrthod. I plant a lot of tomatoes, bell pepers, hot peppers, lettuce, cucumbers staight eights, radishes, mliriton, canalopes and pole beans. Use Miracle Grow and we usually haveall the rain we need but not this year.
