  • Sitting Here ...

Well, the semester starts tomorrow, but the computer labs opened Monday, so here I am, just starting my first shift of the semester (1pm - 5pm) ...

... completely alone in a 50 computer lab. No students are in the building, and no one has been by. I've surfed all my computer sites, and I've still got three hours to go ...

... and the book I brought with me is Stephen King's "Gerald's Game."

Oddly ironic, I think. I should've brought "Needful Things" or "The Stand."

    Oh well.

Could be worse.. you might have been sat their all day and realise the last page of the book is missing.

    Don't look!

Ha! My quarter doesn't start until the end of September.

Geralds Game was OK.. The Stand is much better however. Or one of his newer ones, The Dreamcatcher.

My favorite all time Steven King book...

          "It"

I know I mentioned in another thread that I fear clowns. Even before I read that book. Talk about some scarey stuff.

Tonight so far hasn't been bad. I've been helping about a dozen students over the past two hours who are trying to find their classes ... the online system is down (what timing!) *AND* there aren't any catalogs here.

            Oh, yes, it's been fun

I'm also reading "The Straw Men" by Michael Marshall. I'm not quite sure what its about, but 90 people get gunned down in a McDonalds in the first chapter so it can't be all THAT bad!
