Fulton County

Hey guys. My name is Mike and I am currently applying to become a police officer. I wanted to thank you all for putting up the section on what to expect in the interview process. Someone put alot of hard work into that, and it has helped me out more than you all could know. The Fulton County Police Department just sent me a letter setting up and interview, and was wondering if any of you all had any info for me on the department. Thanks for your time.

This post should probably be posted in the local discussion forum under U.S. States then "Georgia". You would be more likely to get some local info.

I am assuming you mean Fulton County, Georgia. I am going by your name and location, your post does not mention which state and there is more than one Fulton County throughout the U.S.

I agree that it should probably be inthe Georgia section of this website. But I think FCPD is a good place to work. I amnot sure of its future though with the closing down on north Fulton county. The people are real nice though. Good luck to you

If you look at a map, you'd think Fulton County Police has a lot to cover. Not true. Most of the areas they patrolled have been annexed into cities. Think they only cover some areas south and west of Atlanta.


I'm surprised they're hiring last I heard they were talking about disbanding the department.

Fulton County PD used to be broken up into the north side and the south side. Now it is just south side. that happened years ago. So they ARE still viable. They are not disbanding. They patrol south Fulton county which covers a lot more than people think. Its a good department
