I just found out today that radio gods "Opie and Anthony" have been fired. It is truly a said day in radio.

As a faithful listener, I can say I'm sad to see them go, however, the situation that brought them there in the first place was way over the top. I can see being daring, but to have sex in a church? That's totally disgraceful. I think they're getting the punishment they deserve.

I never listened to them but from what I've read of their antics I guess they got what they deserved.

O&A were a couple of disc-jockeys of the Howard Stern wanna-be types, and they were national syndicated.

I listened once or twice and found them stupid, boring, and less than intertaining.

I don't know about intertaining, but I never found Howard to be entertaining, so I don't think I'd find these bums to be that.

Yeah, but you know in today's world of "shock" entertainment, someone else will pick them up and pay them more than they were getting just for the notoriety and publicity they bring. Either that or they'll sell the story rights to Hollywood and get rich off the movie...

I agree. I have no doubt that they'll be back, and back soon. They may be two of the biggest idiots I've ever listened to, but they've made me laugh so many times and laughter is wonderful.

I think they will eventually be back on the air. They orgianlly started out in Boston on WAAF 1007.3 They got fired for saying on April 1st one year, that Mayor Menino (the Mayor of Boston) died in a Florida accident. A few years later they ended up in N.Y. They'll probably pop up in La-La Land California In afew months
Personally I don't think they are all that funny, but to each there own I guess
