(I've been gone awhile so if this topic was already posted I apologize).
A few weeks ago, using an undercover producer with a hidden camera they turned in 20 "found" wallets with various amounts of cash to random LAPD and NYPD Officers they encountered on the street. They wanted to see if any Officers would pilfer the money but guess what? In both cases not a single penny was missing and all were promptly turned in. The reporter was pretty mellow, probably from disappointment no doubt.
They tried the same 'experiment' with NY Cab drivers and if I remember correctly more than half took the cash and never even turned wallet in.
Anybody else ever hear of these integrity tests for Officers? Either by the media or a department?
