  • Respect for each others Country

I am sorry, but I am very concerned having come back from a few days away and reading some of these posts.

There are many of us from different Countries and my expectation would be that each of us is true to our own Country. There is nothing wrong with that.

I am feeling that perhaps there has been some "crossing the line" comments that have offended some. Might I be so humble as to suggest that we remember to respect each other for our various backgrounds and remind ourselves that a LEO is a LEO no matter where you are from.

Could we move on from this so that we don't become so territorial that it starts to harm this site and the bond we have?

    Your consideration appreciated,
    Wonderwoman

      G'day WW

Abso-bloody-lutely! Read my last in "Patriotic American". I wish no-one had ever mentioned the "g" word.

      Anyway. How are you? Didjahavagoodweegend?

I have to agree with you 100%. I called for a truce. Hopefully, others will listen to your plea.

              Well said WW.

Folks, you are all valued members of this forum. Let's try to keep things on a civil basis so we don't wind up having to close threads. It is NOT something that we enjoy.

                Thanks

Note to copitsweet, yes I had a successful weekend. One of the reasons I was away was to get the keys to my dads car to stop him from driving. I got the keys (unless he has a third hidden set!) and the car should be removed off his property by mid-week! And we are still talking!!

Remember I'm still around here novelist. I'm always good to go!

Thankfully most of us can banter back and forth in a friendly way. Some of us have been letting the issue become a little too personal though.

You'd be fair dinkum on that one.

I would always offer a fellow officer absolute respect if they were from a civilised country that respected the rights of the detained subject.

eg US, Australia, UK, Europe, japan.

However.... I would be very sceptical of extending jurisdiction courtesy to an officer of Peoples republic of china or iraq!!!!!!!
