I'm not sure who to address this to, so maybe someone can point me in the right direction. On the main page for Officer.com, it has a bunch of links such as Agencies, Associations, Corrections, etc... Who is in charge of these. I am interested in adding our Explorer web site link to the "Explorers" section under "Miscellaneous."

    Thanks.

    Mike

Since this subject is about Officer.com, I thought this would be a good place to post this:

The past couple days, I've been looking over the boards at cops.com. What a joke. Flames, trolls, and vulgarities all about, and the moderator seems to do nothing about it. Not to mention that from the sounds of their posts, half the people there saying they are LEOs probably are lying. I'd just like to express my gratitude to the administrators, moderators, and members of this forum for making it such a respectable and informative place to be.

What is done in order to make sure that the LEO's that claim to be LEO's in here are truely that?

As the snow started to fall, he pulled his coat tighter around himself. Too tight, as it turned out. "This is the fourth coat crushing this year," said the police sergeant as he outlined the body with a special pencil that writes in the snow.

Nothing is done, except if you want on the restricted side, then proof is required. That doesn't mean that you can't tell a poser from a real LEO by just looking at the way they post and write. Lots of the posters over there who claim to be in LE don't write or spell well, not to mention that they don't sound professional at all in their postings. That's not the case with people here.

Not only do we require proof for the Restricted area, we have, in the past, confronted officers that we did not believe were officers and requested proof from them before they could post in the officer only areas.

Nobody has ever asked for proof from me, and I post there a lot.
