  • Emails...

I received an email today and I'm not sure who it's from. I believe it's someone from the forum. It's titled *Concerned* and the addy looks like someone from here (I have checked some profiles but really don't have time to do that).

Anyway, I can't open it until I know who it's from. There's an attachment and I take no chances. If it's someone from here, please leave another email w/your name in the subject or something that says you're from Officer. Thanks.

I don't mean to alarm you, but if memory serves, I THINK I remember hearing about a virus sent via email that carried that title. Again I'm not positive, but I thought maybe I should say something.

I'd delete it. Anytime I get something that I don't recognize the address or subject, it gets deleted regardless.

That would be my advice too.

I did delete it. Had one virus too many last year. Not in the mood for dealing with BS again. Thanks.

              kateykakes,
Guilty as charged. Just concerned that you were meeting someone that you didn't know and the fact that they are able to see your picture on your web page. Unless you know who the person is that you are meeting, it really could be one of the trolls we have had to deal with lately. I also suggested that you take a friend with you for the first meeting.

I hope you have a good time.
              Sorry for the worry.

                To Artie, and EVERYONE else,

When you send email to a forum member, PLEASE identify yourself in the "Subject" line with your forum name. It can save soooooo much time and confusion!

                PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!

I won't open anything that I don't have a darn good idea of who it is from!

Becareful of .EXE which are executible files. These are the ones that are particularly distructful. Viruses can be opened and closed without the person who opened it even knowing it was a virus. What kind of extension did this CONCERNED attatchment have?
