  • What brought you to Officer.com as a member??

Hi there! What brought you to becomming a member of this site initially? Were you just scanning the web? Did someone tell you about it?

I was just scanning the web looking for a good LEO place to meet with ppl, chat and share ideas. I was searching in Mamma.com and found here. Honestly i am very very happy to be here and feeling a great specialty being member of this community. Ohh...BTW i am the only one from Turkiye here!!!

Curiousity. I saw it mentioned somewhere (I don't remember where) and thought it sounded interesting. I am a curious civilian, harmless but curious.

Honestly, I'd have to say it was the pay and benefits.

A local site for Philadelphia-area law enforcement, WWW.Phillycops.com has a link to this fabulous site. Really glad I found it.

Hmmmm.....how did I get to be a member here?

I initially came over from a link provided on Marijuana.com. I was just a member there at the time but got frustrated at seeing all of the legalization advocates that came over and just bombarded the place rather than making an attempt to debate.

I also noticed that a lot of the same people that were blasting the unregistered forum were not coming over once the forum was registered. I felt the need to show that we weren't cowards

I refused to leave when so much of the arguing was taking place because I kind of thought that as long as I stuck around I could try to help fight a bit of the stereotype that many of "my own side" were helping to reinforce.

The more interesting question would be why am I still here? I am not sure I have figured that one out for myself yet Perhaps it is because it is nice to come to a forum where I don't have to deal with all of the administration headaches at the same time that I am among people I know.

I also find much of the debate here stimulating and while I don't always participate or agree... I am almost always listening.

Found it through a link in my early days of surfing the net. Liked what I saw and stuck around.

I found it several years ago on a web search, but never came into the forums. I used it a resource guide only. Then I found the forums and a little jackass named St. Just made such an impact on me, I couldn't resist getting involved!

I have a friend in the Philadelphia PD who thought O.com might interest me, so I checked it out. He knew I practially lived on my hockey forum and thought maybe I might want to broaden my horizons. Believe it or not, I usually only go to my hockey forum now every other day or so. I'm pretty much addicted to this forum.

I read the forums for a long time before I decided to join and become a member, but have been a regular at the chat room even longer.

                      BTW, you guys are awesome.

I was just surfing for some useful LE sites and came across this one. I lurked for a bit, liked what I saw, and joined! The rest, as they say, is history.

I found it through apbnews.com . I had been looking into LE and this seemed like the place to find the answers. I would like to think I am right in that.

I was at an anarchist news site, and stumbled upon a link in the "pigs" section of their fine publication... If only i could remember the address to that site, it was so entertaining...
