  • Distance from NJ to Toronto

Can anyone give me an idea of the driving distance from Southern NJ to Toronto, Canada?

I've been trying to find it online, but nothing seems to help me, so i'd thought i'd ask here real quick.

    Thanks.

LOL... i didnt go yet. I got caught up in the passport dilemna... wasnt sure if i needed one or not, so i'm going to apply and take my receipt and birth certificate and hope that's enough.

Although someone from Canada told me NOT to go without one, no matter what the "articles" are saying. She said she had friends who were refused entry into the U.S. I cant afford to be stranded up there!! She said it all depends on the Border Agent.

here is the link for homeland security about it. from what it says...passport doesn't seem to be "required" yet for land travel, at least, that's how i'm reading it. but definetly take your receipt if you apply for a passport, take your birth certificate and drivers licence with photo. i've had a passport for years and if we travel anywhere, I just automatically take it. have fun when you do go.

Type in the starting point and the ending point onto Mapquest.com and it will tell you the number of miles, the distance and directions.

Jelly Bean no matter what the Canadian you spoke to says US Officials do not refuse entry to the US to US citizens. You may be delayed if you dont have a birth certificate and have a real thick foreign accent or cannot speak English at all! We let even US criminals return home. Of course they get special transportation to their new accomadations though! Usually escorted by the US Marshalls or some other fine agent wearing blue or in NY grey. If You plan on flying a US passport is required to enter the US from another country including Canada. Since You applied for a passport recent press release has said that you would even be allowed to travel from Canada to the US by air showing the receipt that you applied for the passport. Of course I recommend that any travel you take, on or after DEC 2007, check and see if the requirements have changed. Why didnt you ask a US Customs and Border Protection officer?

JB, I don't know what route you're taking, but I live right by one of the international bridges-- the Queenston-Lewiston bridge. If you think you might come that way, PM me.

It would be fun to meet you!

I dont know the route yet either, but i guess if i go to Toronto from the U.S., i have to cross over up near you, no?

I will not be going for about 4 more weeks anyway. I am going to wait until all the work is done on my house. Just in case i want to stay up there longer than anticipated

I would definitely like to meet you though, if it works out that go by near your area I will PM you.
