Thanks everyone. It's pretty cool. We're hangin' out in the hospital right now with both sets of grandparents. My brother-in-law and sister are on the way to meet her as well. Adelyn sure is little, though not much smaller than I was when I was born. I was 6lbs 15oz... Adelyn is only a couple ounces shy of that.

After the doctor finished up with an exam this morning, she said the only noticeable thing was a slightly lopsided head. I think she gets that from her father.

Labor was quite fast. Becky came home from work early yesterday - said she was sent home after having a contraction. She had another one as she turned onto our street (about 20 minutes after the initial one). From there, the contractions ranged anywhere from 2 to 8 minutes apart. I started making phone calls to get our doula on the way as well as Becky's parents since they live 2.5 hours apart. Then I started calling the hospital to find out what they thought we should do. I was able to eventually convince Becky to let me take her. We got to the hospital at around 6:00PM and she was still 1cm dilated - no difference between that and our appointment on the 11th, so I figured we'd get sent home. Well, the doctor checked her again at 8:30PM after the contractions hadn't let up at all. She had shot right up to 6cm so I called my parents and told them they need to start pointing our way - they live 2 hours away. From there... it kept going and going. Eventually 9cm, then 10cm, then pushing. I kept getting updates from my parents as they made their way here.

Then the head started to show, then more, then more. Then crying. It was crazy, but Becky did a great job.
