Exhibition of speed (California)

Hi, to keep this short, I just got a ticket for exhibition of speed.... it could have been much worse. It was obvious and stupid, and I was clearly guilty by the sound of my squealing tires. Now, when I go to criminal court (but I haven't stolen anything since I was 9? ) how can I ease the pain? Any and all tips are welcome.... be early, dress nice, etc. I prefer my insurance to not go up and my driving record to remain clean.... thanks.

Very simple, before your case is called they will let you know of your option to go to traffic school. Go.
