Standards for polygraph testing by all regulatory agencies requires you be rested prior to a polygraph. This is not optional for the examiner, it is required. We loose our membership in professional organizations if we do not follow the standards. You are not considered a fit subject if you are not rested. Next time get some sleep and schedual your examination so you are rested and alert.

    Yet another poly question...

I got an appointment for a polygraph examination. I walk in, do all the paperwork, and hop in "the chair." The examiner then asks me, "did you get a good night's rest last night?" My answer: Uh... no. I work nights. The next thing I know, I'm standing in the parking lot. He won't test me. I have to reschedule.

What gives? Why does it matter if I've slept or not?
