I went in for a follow up interview after my CVSA, the BI was a little confrontational about the questions I showed deception on. I got the impression he was "pushing my buttons" to get a reaction from me. Is the typical?

Could be... You didn't specify what question(s)...and you don't have to say here in this post. It appears that the examiner and BI are just trying to clear up what they have determined to be "deception.""The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

I'm shocked that the CVSA is even being used in this state! There was an incredible segment on Dateline a couple months back and the lack of scientific verification for this machine is stunning. Just remember that the CVSA (like the polygraph) is an "investigative tool" used by skilled interviewers. Tell the truth and don't let a confrontational technique used by the investigator upset you too much."I'm not fluent in the language of violence, but I know enough to get around in places where it's spoken."Comment
