      Learning a second language is great and may help you in process. But don't do it just to get a job. Once you get that job you may discover it's not for you. If you do it, do it because YOU want to do it.

      The graduate degree can be helpful if the law enforcement career doesn't work out. Even in law enforcement it could benefit you later on in the job. Especially if you promote up to the executive or senior positions in the department or lateral into one at another.
