  • Farnsworth D-15

I'm mildly red/green "color deficient" and currently in the testing process with four local police departments. I can't pass the Ishihara color vision test, but I've seen that many departments will allow you to pass the Farnsworth D-15 color vision test to be hired.

I've never actually taken the Farnsworth D-15, but I'm pretty confident I can pass it--heck, I worked loss prevention where you always had to keep track of the color of the clothes that subjects had selected.

Has anyone here taken the Farnsworth D-15? I took a sample test at this site: http://www.univie.ac.at/Vergl-Physio...rtestF-en.html and can pass with "flying colors."

How close is that sample test to the real thing? Thanks!

The only Farnsworth color vision test I'm familar with is the Farnsworth Lantern. You're placed in a darkened room and an operator has you look into what appears to be an old film projector. A series of red, green, and white light is displayed in random order. You pick the color.
