      Actually, while Im here I see the K9 forum here is meant for sworn officers only. Are there any suggestions for resources and forums for non-sworn K9 handlers that you recommend?

        I’m NOT going to refer you to the security forums run by O.com and their sister group. That’s a bunch of Clownshoes.

        You can post questions on here, you just can’t answer others questions unless you’re a cop.

        You are good so far.

        You will get those other resources in your program.

              First day was great, got to handle several dogs in varying experiences. Worked on basic detecting with focus on leash control. Working on bonding with two specific all black German sherpherds. The trainers will make a decision on which one I jive with the most on Wednesday and I’ll take them home on Friday. Lots of learning to do but the trainers are great. Gotta figure out what to do with all the blisters on my hand haha.
