  • Any information is helpful

I’m from Minnesota and have completed my POST education and training and received my POST license in 2011. And back then Jobs where hard to come by. So I joined the Army to help boost my resume. But while I was in the Army I was diagnosed with OCD and anxiety. I was not med borded I completed my contract. Since being back home and taking medication it is very manageable and does not affect my day to day. I was just wondering if being diagnosed will that bar me from becoming a police officer? Any information will be very helpful.

Well its not a good thing.

A department will most likely not take a chance on you. Police jobs are super competitive.

But you won’t know unless you try.

Be willing to relocate. Some areas can't get enough applicants. Won't know if you don't apply.
