You got a degree from one of the top universities in the nation and you want to be a cop? More power to ya! I'm going thru the process in Chicago and I can say those driving violations will not keep you off...they are looking for DUI, suspended license, ect. You're fine.

Since all of your citations are not for the same hazardous violation it is not as bad as if they were. Any record that demonstrates a continued pattern of risk taking behaivor is a concern for any hiring authority. Remember, a background investiagtion is simply a process to identify how much risk you pose to employ. Driving is one of the highest risk behaivors for any officer, thus any past driving history is important. Just don't get any more!
