Academy Orientation Question

Just had a quick question,

I recently found out that the next academy the agency I've applied with is starting June 4th, with orientation from April 16th-May 19th. I was told orientation is only one day, so I'm a little confused on what that date range is about.

My question is, If the academy is June 4th; when is the latest they will notify me whether or not they have a spot for me. Im currently in backgrounds now and I havnt taken the medical, psych or had my Chiefs interview yet. The agency I applied to has all three. I just want to be able to plan accordingly for either outcome.

Any thoughts? Theyre greatly appreciated.

The date range is probably just a time frame, with an actual date uncertain yet.

I believe it is quite often that recruits receive as little notice as a week or less so I guess I would not rule out the possibility until after June 4th.
