  • hiring process question

im the hiring process for a vermont city of about 17,000 people (daytime population). ive had alot of contact with the recrutment officer and we are very friendly. all the times i had to contact him it was either his email at the department or calling the department. after i pased the oral board (as the #1 canidate, sorry i just cant get over it) he gave me his cell phone number in a voicemail he left me. so i have three questions.

    A) is it wrong of me to save his number?
    B) is it a good sign when a police officer gives you his cell phone number?
    C) is alright for me to call him on it? i dont want to bug him when he is home.

thank you in advance for your respones.

The answers are...it depends! There is nothing wrong with saving the number but I wouldn't use it unless you had to, or unless they specifically tell you to. Sounds like your well on your way so good luck! I especially wish you luck depending on which one of the only two departments you could be applying with...it's a little too crunchy/granola there for me!
