  • Do Background Investigators Look at Credit Scores or Credit Reports?

    Hey Everyone,

I have heard that a lot of agencies will look at an applicants credit history during the background investigation. Does anyone know if they run a credit check similar to lenders and just look at a credit score so to speak, or do they pull a credit report that shows a candidate's current obligations and such but does not accumulate that information into a score?

    Thanks,

Credit score is a huge factor. Results indicate ability to live within one's means and be responsible. Results also used as a predictive factor for potential for corruption.
