  • Structured Interview Question

Among the things I was asked at a structured interview (besides tobacco use, drugs, etc) was what i would answer under a polygraph when asked if I view pornography. I answered yes, the legal kind.

What kind of question is that?

so where does our right to privacy begin? i think thats excessive for an interview or polygraph (the masterbation question) and probably would have paused, stood up, shook his/their hands, and told him thank you but no thank you and walked. even as an applicant i'm entitled to privacy. I have nothing to be ashamed of but that crosses the line for me.

They were asking if you would have a problem with the question when asked hooked up to a polygraph.

That is true, you do not have to participate in an interview or in a hiring process. But if you choose to participate you either sign the necessary release forms or you are separated from the hiring process.
