As a former Marine currently serving in the National Guard I must say that persuing a career in law enforcment was the biggest waste of time in my life.

I served with three agencies and the last place I served;Clearlake Ca. was a joke. The Cheif has 23 rental properties with day and night traffic.

If you want a career in law enforcement just go 10-8 and do nothing. Make friends with someone and stroke their ego.

You will not last based on superior performance alone. It is an extremely political position and has nothing at all to do with law enforcement.

If your FTO is a dick; tell them and get in their face; it is probably just a test to see if your a wuss.

All you recruits out there stressing this test and that test; it does not matter. They hire who they want. Period. pure political appointees run rampent in this line of work. "Do as I say and not as I do" is the civilian police motto

Join the military and **** on the blue uniforms...IMHO of course. I did. I have one set of PD blues left I wear for girlfriends only. The rest were used as toilet paper, and then set on fire during a party with some former Marine buddies of mine.

PD blue means abolutely zero to me.

So you are crying over the fact that you could not cut it as a Police Officer! Well congrats you! As a matter of fact, why even mention in here you were in the Corp or even say you were a cop at all? Why not just go pour me a slurpie so when I am working nights I can roll up and have you loook at what you use to have?
