when is the right time to call?

I tested with a department three weeks ago and have been waiting to hear back about my POST score and whether or not I am on the list of eligible candidates. They said because of the holiday that it could take three weeks and if we haven't heard by the 10th to call them. My question is, since the 10th falls on a Saturday, would it be best to call tomorrow or wait until Monday? I don't want it to come across like I'm impatient and don't listen to directions, but I want them to know how much I want the position.

stupid me, didn't check the PD office hours and of course they're closed today. So it looks like I'll be calling Monday. They have a number to call an officer, but I'm guessing they don't deal with recruiting questions.
