  • Hiring Board vs Oral Board WHATS THE DIFFERENCE???

Hello all, So Iv been wondering what the difference is between an Oral Board and a Hiring Board Interview. I know oral boards are usually early in the process and the hiring board (which I am going to soon) is at the end of it all. Other than that what is the difference?

With that said what kind of questions can I expect? I have done A LOT of research on the agency like staffing, high ranking officials and their backgrounds etc.

    Thanks again!

    Not correct
Since some people need to be told by notes in crayon .......Don't PM me with without prior permission. If you can't discuss the situation in the open forum ----it must not be that important

My new word for the day is FOCUS, when someone irritates you tell them to FOCUS

Other agencies iv applied with iv done the oral board before the background. This place its after the background and I will receive a conditional offer depending on the outcome.

What kind of questions can I expect?

From what you describe, the oral board is an interview in which you are asked questions and you provide answers. I'm not exactly sure about a "hiring board" unless it's a group of people who you sit in front of as they review your entire file, ask any remaining questions, and decide whether or not to hire. That's the only thing I can figure it is.

Different places may do things differently or conduct their hiring process different. Hard for anyone here to answer your questions that's hasn't gone through the same process and same agency as you.

some places have a hiring board and an oral board, when I went through the process for an agency, they had a hiring board (this checked to see if you looked good enough on paper ) if you passed that, you had an oral board (interview , questions etc) IF you passed that, you were given a conditional offer of employment which was golden, assuming you passed the psych and medical portion that was left. But as IOWA said, I think you're using them synonymously
