  • U.S. Probation officer

3 weeks ago I applied for a U.S. Probation Officer position for U.S. Courts Georgia Middle District and was invited to complete a test. If you are a current or former U.S. Probation officer, I would greatly appreciate any valuable insight to help me prepare for the test and the interview.

I don't have any experience as a probation or parole officer which is probably extremely important for this position. My background is limited to the military, fire department/EMT, and U.S. Department of State high threat protection (I was a contractor in Iraq, not a federal employee). I have a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and M.S. in Management. What can I do to make myself more competitive for this position?

If the U.S. Probation Department doesn't hire you, I'm sure another agency will. Your qualifications look great to me.

Thank you for your service and good luck.

I doubt that you are not qualified..............................I don't see you needing help being more competitive.
Since some people need to be told by notes in crayon .......Don't PM me with without prior permission. If you can't discuss the situation in the open forum ----it must not be that important

My new word for the day is FOCUS, when someone irritates you tell them to FOCUS
