No worries now. For testing I wore a button up no tie and slacks. However interview day I wore a nice suit

Do you have regular contact with someone you can ask? I always instruct my applicants to wear casual clothing to the medical test (they dont see anyone from the hiring authority there, its a medical office) However, for the psych, they wear a suit & tie - it's an interview.

Post #5 covers it. Always a suit unless specifically told otherwise. You never know who will be there watching.

Yeah, but it's common knowledge that "The Man" uses radio waves to get into your head.

I have yet to have a physical where I was not told to disrobe in some fashion.
    .

If you are wearing a suit..............................DUH! You take off the jacket, shirt , tie , slacks etc and then put them back on when you are through.

    REALLY not rocket science.

Same with a psyche test or polygraph test. I am sure the examiner will provide a place for the suit jacket to be placed during any procedure that requires removal of the item.

I did everything in a suite expect pt test. I did medical in a polo and slacks expect where they said show up in pt cloths. you always want to make a good impression. depending on the pysch if there is a written you can always take your jacket off do the test. when you sit down with the doc put the jacket on.

    A suit won't hurt.

You can NEVER be overdressed at any part of a Law Enforcement hiring process UNLESS you have been given specific dress instructions.
