Once you do your LD, I assume it's yes/no questions, correct? If the question is yes (when it should be no) do they ask you to explain?

When I did mine, they went through the questions before hand and if there was an issue with a question then you explained and they modified the question around that answer. For example, my father a retired police officer runs a police dog training business and I had helped put out narcotics as part of the training. So when they asked if I had been around ill. narcotics, what they ment was at parties and such, which the answer was no, I advised them yes and explained to them about my helping training police dogs and hiding the training aids. They modified the question from the answer given.I trust my life with J. M. Browning's design, the 1911. -
NO surprises, I didn't confuse my answers. He does his interview with you and re-words his questions so you don't involuntarily show deception due to it being so close in relation to another subject.Comment

There should be no suprises in your Polygraph Exam. The Examiner will go over all the questions he/she proposes to ask you. You'll be given the oportunity to explain any questions which might generate a reaction from the instrument. Keep in mind that the Polygraph isn't going to know whether you're lying or not. Please don't be offended at what follows, but avoid any an all advice on how to "beat the machine". Attempt any type of deception, and it could result in your being DQ'd. A little nervousness/apprehension is quite normal. Good luck.Comment
