I can't speak for your state, however, in California, proceedings in juvenile court (under 18) are generally not considered to be a criminal conviction unless the individual was certified, tried and convicted as an adult. Therefore, juvenile convictions are not included as a legal bar to appointment as a peace officer.
However, the conduct surrounding the offense will certainly be considered as part of the overall background and can be a DQ factor.
Going too far is half the pleasure of not getting anywhere
1. Am I a convicted felon?
2. Am I DQ'ed
3. Thoughts?
You're disqualified.

Depending on what the crime was, and depending on the state, if it was a juvenile conviction you may not be auto DQd. You need to ask your state's certifications and standards section--not us.
It happened in WA state when I was 17, I stole a bunch of cds froma store on a dare. It was about ten years ago. Also I have a haard time believing all you NEVER got in trouble when you were kids, but whatever.

So is my record expunged or sealed?
At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter whether any of us got into trouble as kids. You're the one inquiring/looking for a job. One of my colleagues has already mentioned the fact that Juveniles aren't "convicted" unless they are certified for trial as an Adult. Juvenile cases are "adjudicated". However, a Department could still DQ, or Non-Select you as a result of your Juvenile record. You should also know, that in a Law Enforcement Background Investigation, there is no such thing as a Sealed or Expunged record. Background Investigators routinely access these records. As to whether or not your record was sealed/expunged, you'll need to ask the court which handled your case.
Not to mention you're a convicted felon with a gun.
Can you say "OWNED!!!"
Due to the Juvenile bickering and annoying trolling committed by members of this forum I have started an igore list. If your name is listed below I can't see you.
