Update and Thanks

Hello, everyone!
I have oral boards coming up with 2 departments. My written scores were #2 and #1 highest in these towns, and my agilities are well within graduating requirements for women 2 age brackets below me, so I'm feeling pretty great!

I just wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to the awesome threads about "the process" - I can't tell you how helpful they were, and still are. I know that I'm still a very long way from even coming close to being an officer, but I feel more comfortable and confident after reading your advice, and I'd like you all to know that I respect and admire you and the job that you do for us civilians every day.

Please Please Please read all you can on the Oral Boards and practice your answers with someone.You don't want any "Um's and Ah's" preceding any answer.Although there are thousands of possible questions almost all Boards will ask you:

1.About yourself
2.About other officers conduct(good or bad)
3.Scenarios(sometimes progressive use of force)

Shotgunnar, I do have a friend on the force (in a different town) coming over tonight to have a dry run with me. He's going to basically ask go over what he was asked and things he knows other officers have been asked, then help me polish my answers.
