  • Hiring question.

Sorry if this is getting repetitive for you guys and gals.
But, I'm in my first year of college at Appalachian State, and Criminal Justice has become my choice for a major.
I'm just wondering if I will be able to get a job after graduation.

My background that I'm wondering if will DQ me...
Arrested for shoplifting when 17 (I'll be 22-23 before i start applying)
Tried pot once, one puff when I was 15.
Tried Ritalin once when I was 16.
Other than that I've worked 3 jobs through high school(edited here) and been fired from one, and still managed to keep my grades up enough to get into a 4 year.
Just wondering if I should even pursue the career. of Law enforcement.

One of my professors in college graduated from Appalachian State. The Boone, NC area is beautiful!

I don't think you will have a problem. First things first, get that degree. Worst case scenario, you will be able to get a job in the education field.

I don't see anything there that's going to be a DQ. You'll need to disclose them when you apply, but you should be OK. Good luck in school, and in your future efforts.

Ditto. Let some time go by and keep your nose clean. Be honest and you'll be fine.
