  • Driver hit my car

    Last week a driver hit my car while it was parked. Both hers and my vehicles were damaged. We exchabngedinsurance info. Do both of us have to file an SR-1 to DMV?

      police came, but LAPD said they dont do reports unless there was an injury or death, whch there wasn't.

        If the damage to any one person's property exceeded $750, it must be reported to DMV. See the following web page for further details:

            I cant speak to Cali law but in Va if it occurred on private property it's a nonreportable accident. Also if you guys already exchanged information it's now an insurance matter not one for Police.
