I have an interview coming up for an internship with a local police department, any advice or tips would be great, what should i expect?

    1) Keep your answers simple, honest and easy to understand.
    2) Don't let a moment of silence after one of your answers make you feel like you have to ramble on to fill it.
    3) Be confident, but not cocky.
    4) Tell the oral board that you want the job. (Surprising how few do this!)
    5) Tell the oral board why you see this as a career, not just another job.

    Good luck!

Dress nice and make sure your fly is in the up and locked position.

Give the greeting of the day and say sir or ma'am. its polite.

Take a shower, shave and wear deoderant. (Its happened)

If you have a question, sit on it until the end and then ask. Unless they ask if you have any questions then its appropriate.

Be excited about the opportunity with out saying "I am excited about this opportunity" They are cops, they will know your excited. They will know if your lying about something as well.

      Good Luck

maybe. We do and we are small. It will probably be at least two. The captain and maybe a sgt or LT. Internships are competative right? If its an absolute through the school, then just make sure your fly is up. youll be OK.

I don't agree with your opinion, but I respect its straightforwardness in terms of wrongness.

To the original poster, I apologize for hyjacking your thread, I couldn't resist the comment to Irish there. Anywho, my advice is to say what you mean and mean what you say.
