    All our squads have cages and my squad bag goes in the front passenger side. I have only been on the road for a year so I have never seen any other way of doing things. I could not imagine putting the arrestee, or anyone else but another officer or ride-along for that matter, in the front. And as far as buckling the person in the back... I usually don't. Administration would probably cringe if I told them that ... but I don't feel like getting bit either.
    Good traffic rule of thumb - Broke down people, drive broke down cars.
