I am in the lapd background process. I just did my initial background on Thursday. When I was 18 I got charged with a DUI. I changed my life around And joined the military. I answered that I drove 3-5 under the influence and drank 20-25 times underage on my background packet. Is there a chance I will get a DQ letter?

There is always a chance that you will get the DQ letter. A lot of it depends on the tolerance (and policy) of the agency. At least you have taken steps to turn your life around. Time (sometimes a long time) and a history of good behavior are the only way to find out how much of your past can be overlooked.
