  • Lapd background

I am in the lapd background process. I just did my initial background on Thursday. When I was 18 I got charged with a DUI. I changed my life around And joined the military. I answered that I drove 3-5 under the influence and drank 20-25 times underage on my background packet. Is there a chance I will get a DQ letter?

Thank you for serving this great nation.

There is always a chance that you will get the DQ letter. A lot of it depends on the tolerance (and policy) of the agency. At least you have taken steps to turn your life around. Time (sometimes a long time) and a history of good behavior are the only way to find out how much of your past can be overlooked.

Thank you for the response. My DUI was six years ago and I haven't gotten any trouble at all since the incident.

        Depends on their hiring standards

Well from what I heard is that they're hiring a lot of people right now.

It also depends on their applicant pool. I hope it works out for you.
